Freight consolidation combines multiple smaller shipments into a single larger shipment to reduce cost. For example, you have 5 suppliers each shipping a partial truckload to your manufacturing facility. Instead of paying for 5 partial trucks, we receive all 5, consolidate into 2 full trucks, and ship. The consolidation fee is less than the extra partial truck charges, netting savings. JIT supply chains often use consolidation to balance cost and flexibility.

Turnaround is typically 24 hours or less. Many shipments are received in the morning and shipped out the same evening. Cross-docking is designed for speed—minimal processing time keeps goods moving. If we receive a consolidation by 2 PM, we can load and ship by 8 PM the same day. For expedited moves, we can often achieve same-day turnaround if you notify us early.

Yes. Ocean containers arriving at ports can be unloaded at our facility, consolidated with domestic goods, and shipped inland via truck. This transloading saves money because it breaks containerized freight into optimal truckloads. We also cross-dock goods arriving from Canada at the border into domestic trucks, and vice versa. International cross-docking is common for import consolidation or outbound export consolidation.

Standard commercial documentation: Bill of Lading (BOL) for each inbound shipment, packing lists, and clarity on destination and handling requirements. For consolidations, we create a new master BOL for the consolidated shipment. For cross-border, additional customs documentation may be needed.
